We’ve waited four years to hear from Norwegian pop artist Annie, but from the looks of her new video for “Back Together,” off The A&R EP, it kind of feels like we’ve taken a time machine with her back to the 1980s. The freestyle jam reminds us of the Material Girl herself, and The Chart Show-flavored flick has us drooling over her cool color-blocked wardrobe (with lipstick to match). Plus, her unique moves have us a little less wary of hitting the dance floor.
Remember how much you loved “True Affection” by The Blow? So much. This song sounds different…but still awesome, and any fears that The Blow were a one-trick pony can now be put to bed. The duo has bumped up their dance factor, but Khaela Maricich’s delicate vocals remain intact and enticing. Their new album comes out October 1, so hopefully this will hold you over.
